Easy Directions or Instructions for Paper Airplanes
Paper airplanes are fun to play with, and surprisingly easy to create using a simple, white sheet of paper. Although you can fold a piece of paper in numerous ways to create an intricate paper airplane, many people would rather create a simple plane that will fly easily every time it is thrown. These basic paper planes can be used in paper plane races, challenges and contests, and can turn an ordinary afternoon into a fun-filled experience.

You can use any color paper for a paper airplane. Fold a piece of white paper in half lengthwise. Use a basic, white sheet of paper that is 8 1/2 by 11 inches in size. Once folded, open the paper back up. There will now be a vertical line down the middle of the sheet.

Fold each edge carefully. Turn the paper vertically, and fold the top two corners down toward the center crease. Line up the top edge of the corners with the crease, and press down all of the folds firmly. This will create two angular edges at the top of the sheet. Turn the angular edges toward the center crease again, lining up the outside edge with the center. Press the edges firmly again. Repeat this a third time, folding the outside edge toward the center crease, pressing the edges once the final folds are made.

Paper airplanes are fun and easy to make. Keeping all of the edges folded in, fold the sheet of paper in half again at the center crease. Grip the center crease with your fingers, and gently open up the last fold to reveal the wings. Tilt your hand back, and thrust it forward, letting the airplane go.
