1
Turn off the television and unplug it.
-
2
Open the access panel in the back of the Samsung projection box. There should be one screw in a notch holding the panel in place. Unscrew it and remove the panel, setting the screw and panel to the side.
-
-
3
Touch the old lamp. Make sure it is not hot. If it is, allow it to cool before removing it.
-
4
Unscrew the two screws located at the base of the lamp holding it in place, loosening them but not removing them. They are part of the design and won't come out completely.
-
5
Pull the plastic handle on the lamp and remove the old lamp. Discard the used lamp.
-
6
Position the new lamp where you removed the old. Slide it in so the connector plug at the top of the lamp meets the connection in the projector. This may require some patience as you wiggle and readjust the lamp until the screws are flush with the screw holes and the lamp is securely in place. Do not try to force it.
-
7
Tighten the screws at the base of the lamp.
-
8
Close the panel and screw it securely shut.
-
9
Plug the television in and turn it on to see if the new lamp works.
