Watch bit torrent files on a television.

A bit torrent file is a file you obtain through a Torrent software program. This is essentially like a peer-to-peer file-sharing service in which you can download files and other documents from other individuals with the service. You can even download videos to your computer. Once you have the bit torrent file on your computer, you can burn it to a DVD and watch the data on your television.

Instructions

    • 1

Right-click the bit torrent file and select "Extract" (or "UnZip"). Torrent files come in a compressed state, and you need to extract the data before you can do anything with the files. When you select "Extract," the extraction program installed on the computer loads. If you do not have a program currently installed, you can download a free trial at WinZip.com (full link listed in "Resources").

Choose an extraction location to save the torrent files to, then click "Extract" and the files are extracted from their compressed state.

    • 3

Insert the blank DVD into your DVD burner, then launch the DVD burning program installed on the system. Select "Video DVD" and title the video. Click "Add Files" and choose the video file you just extracted. Select "Burn" and the DVD burns.

Remove the DVD from the DVD burner once the disc has finished. Insert the DVD into the DVD player and power on the television. You can now watch the bit torrent file on your television.
