How to Perform a Factory Reset on L100 Portable in a Car GPS Navigation System

Performing a factory reset on your L100 Portable Navigator restores the original-factory settings. A factory reset may be necessary if you are having problems with your L100. If you want to perform a factory reset to cure a problem, considering performing a soft reset first (see Tips). A factory reset not only restores the factory settings, but it also removes all of your personal information, including your custom points-of-interest (POI).

Instructions

1. Press the "Gear" icon to enter the Settings menu.

2. Press the next "Gear" icon from the System Settings screen. This directs you to the System Info screen.

3. Press "Factory Reset" on the bottom of the System Info screen. Press "Yes" at the warning prompt to confirm. The device performs the factory reset, which takes about a minute.

Tips & Warnings

• If your L100 is unresponsive, sluggish or frozen, consider trying a soft reset first. To perform a soft reset, press and hold the "Reset" button on the bottom of the device. The L100 turns off, then turns back on.
