Wipe mahogany wood with a clean cloth to remove dust. Turn the cloth as you wipe the furniture so removed dust does not redeposit onto the wood.

Dip the corner of a clean rag into a mixture of two parts white vinegar and one part water. Wring the rag to avoid dripping liquid onto the wood.

Wipe any stains on the mahogany wood with the rag. Wipe with the grain of the wood, not against it.

Wipe the area clean of the vinegar solution with a damp rag. Dry the area with a clean cloth.

Spray furniture wax or polish on a clean cloth and wipe onto the mahogany wood. Avoid using wax that contains lemon oil. Some products containing lemon oil also contain kerosene, which can harm the surface of the mahogany wood.
