How to Remove Web Search Buttons From the Google Toolbar
Google Toolbar search buttons allow you to confine your keyword searches to matches within specific websites or web services (such as your email or Google Documents). Search buttons offer a convenient way to quickly customize your keywords searches. You can access the search buttons through the "Search" drop-down menu or, for easier access, you can opt to have frequently used search buttons appear directly on the Google toolbar. By doing this, you don't have to go through the search menu to click on them. To remove search buttons from the Google Toolbar, open the Button Toolbar Options.

Tips & Warnings
While Google Toolbar default search buttons can be removed from the toolbar, effectively hiding them, it's not possible to permanently delete these buttons. You can only delete the custom buttons that were added to your Google toolbar. If you are unsure of which is which, default buttons are distinguishable from custom buttons by opening the Button Toolbar Options. Highlight the button you want to get rid of. If the selected button is a Google default button, the "Remove" option will be shaded. Only the "Add" and "Edit" options will be active. If the selected button is a custom button, the "Remove" option will be active.
