How to Share One Output for Two Subwoofers
Subwoofers produce deep, rumbling bass for a home theater system. These powered, low-frequency effects speakers add depth to movies and music when connected to an audio-video receiver. Using more than one subwoofer might be desirable in large rooms or for those who simply enjoy room-rattling bass, but many AV receivers are equipped with only a single output jack. Getting around this limitation requires an audio Y adapter to split the output signal from the receiver to a pair of subwoofers.
