      Use a tape measure to measure the length and width of your countertops.

      Multiply the length times the width.

      Divide by 144 in order to convert between inches and feet if necessary. For instance, if your counter tops are a total of 80 inches long and 60 inches wide, multiply 60 times 80 to get 4800 square inches. Then divide by 144 to get 33.33 square feet.
