How to Forward Mail From Yahoo to an Alternate

Forwarding all email to one account can streamline communications.

If you have more than one email account, it is sometimes convenient to have all of your mail sent to a single account. When you forward your email to another account, all of your incoming mail is automatically sent to the address you specify. You can forward your Yahoo! Mail to another email address, but first you have to upgrade to Yahoo! Mail Plus, Yahoo!'s premium, low-cost mail service.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account, and click "Options" in the top-right corner of the page.

2. Click "Mail Plus" and select "Order Now."

3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your order with your Yahoo! Wallet account. If you do not have a Yahoo! Wallet, which is a service that stores your credit card and billing information so you can quickly purchase Yahoo! premium services, you can follow the onscreen instructions to quickly create one.

4. Log in to your Yahoo! Mail Plus account, and click "Options" and then "Mail Options" in the upper-right corner of the page.

5. Select "POP & Forwarding," and click "Set up or edit POP & Forwarding."

6. Click "Forwarding," and enter the email address you want to forward your Yahoo! Mail to.

7. Click "Save." Your mail will now be forwarded to the email address you entered.

Tips & Warnings

• When you upgrade to Yahoo! Mail Plus, you get access to several other features. In addition to no advertisements, you can access your mail offline with a desktop email application (such as Outlook Express), use filters to automatically sort your email, and create disposable addresses to give out when you don't want to reveal your real email address.
