Instructions

    • 1

Attempt to peel away the label. Pull one corner of the label up with your fingernail, and peel slowly to lift the entire label. If the corner starts to tear at all, start over with a different corner of the label. Peel away as much as possible.

    • 2

Rub a drop of vegetable oil onto any remaining label or adhesive. The oil will break apart the adhesive quality of the label, allowing you to rub it away.

    • 3

Pour a drop of rubbing alcohol onto the label, and continue rubbing if the oil alone does not remove the label, which is also a better option for surfaces that absorb moisture, as the oil could leave a greasy stain behind. Repeat until you have removed all of the label and adhesive.

Moisten a paper towel with water, and rub over the surface to remove any leftover label or adhesive.
