Trade your used video game in at a local video game retailer. Stores such as GameStop regularly buy used video games in exchange for cash, new games or store credit. Note that you may not get very much money back with this route.

Sell your used video games on eBay. With eBay you can choose to sell your game as an auction, where prospective buyers will bid on your game for up to a week, or you can give it a fixed "Buy it Now" price. You can also choose to give a "Best Offer" option if you're unsure of the game's worth or don't really care about getting much money for it.

Research your game's value before selling it. You can check the completed listings on eBay as a good indicator of value. Click the "Advanced Search" link next to the search bar and tick the "Completed Listings" box.
Note that Amazon, eBay and Glyde all fill in the "Item Description" automatically for your game (as long as the information is in the database), meaning you have to do less work in describing and photographing the item.
