How to Uninstall LimeWire on Ubuntu
LimeWire is a popular file sharing application that can be installed on Ubuntu. The installation packages are available through the LimeWire website. If you find that you do not want or need the LimeWire software, you can remove it through the Synaptic Package Manager. The Synaptic Package Manager is a graphical package management software program installed by default on all versions of Ubuntu.

Right click on the LimeWire icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Choose the "Exit" option to stop LimeWire from running.

Click on the "Administration" section of the "System" menu.

Choose the "Synaptic Package Manager."

Enter your password when prompted.

Type "limewire" in the search box located in the upper right corner of the window.

Click the "Search" button.

Click the check box next to the "limewire" package ("limewire-basic" or "limewire-pro").

Click the "Mark for Complete Removal" option.

Click the "Apply" button at the top of the screen.

Click the "Apply" button a second time.

Close the "Synaptic Package Manager" window.
