How to Obtain a Windows 2000 Startup Disk
A Windows 2000 startup disk is a disk that you can utilize to either initiate the Windows 2000 installation procedure or load your computer into DOS. Creating a Windows 2000 startup disk is done with your Windows 2000 installation CD, enabling you to quickly convert a floppy disk into a boot disk for your operating system.

Insert the floppy and the Windows 2000 CD into the computer.

Click "Start," select "Run," type "cmd" and press "Enter."

Type "x:\bootdisk" and press "Enter," where "x" is the drive letter of your CD drive.

Type "makeboot.exe" and press "Enter." This will create a boot disk from the floppy in your computer.
