How to Download Imeem Music to a Media Player

Imeem is a type of music-centric social media service. Imeem allows users to communicate with each other and share their favorite songs over a streaming Internet connection. If you want to import music from Imeem into a media player on your computer, this will involve two separate processes. First you must download the music from Imeem, then you have to import that music into the media player of your choice.

Instructions

Downloading Music

1. Use Orbit Downloader (see References). Once installed on your machine, simply move your mouse cursor over a song that is playing in Imeem and click "Get It." A box will appear allowing you to save the Imeem streaming music file to your computer.

2. Alternatively, use Free Music Zilla (see References). Free Music Zilla operates similarly to Orbit Downloader. Once you've installed the Free Music Zilla software, right-click on a file that is playing in Imeem and select "Save As" to save that file to your hard drive.

3. As a third option, use FLV Player (see References). FLV Player allows you to capture all streaming content from websites, not just Imeem. You can also capture videos from sites like YouTube or Metacafe. Once you have installed FLV Player, click on the "Download" button when a song is playing in Imeem.

Import Music into a Media Player

1. Open the media player of your choice. All of your installed media players are accessible through your computer's "Start" menu. Examples include Windows Media Player and iTunes.

2. Click "File."

3. Click "Add File."

4. Click on the music file that you downloaded from Imeem.

5. Click "Open." Your file will be added to your Media Player library.
