How to Play Spider Solitaire With Cards

How to Play Spider Solitaire With Cards thumbnail
Spider solitaire requires two decks of playing cards with the jokers removed.

Spider Solitaire is a card game that involves sorting two shuffled decks of cards into a descending order. According to the rules, the cards in play can only be moved onto the previous card in the series, and all cards must be used for the game to be complete. Prevent the game from stalling by only keeping the cards sorted with the same suit, if possible.

Instructions

    • 1

      Shuffle the decks.

    • 2

Deal out ten rows of face down cards. Each row should contain four cards.

    • 3

Deal out an additional card onto the first four rows on the left.

    • 4

Deal out a card, face up, onto each deck.

    • 5

Set the remaining cards aside as a stock pile.

    • 6

Begin forming the cards into rows of decreasing value. A finished row will follow the pattern: King, Queen, Jack, 10, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two and Ace. Set finished rows on the foundation.

    • 7

Draw from the stock if the game blocks, and no further moves can be made.

    • 8

The game is finished once all the cards are on the foundation in their correct order.
