Super Glue is known for its strong bonding and quick drying qualities. Super Glue can glue almost anything together from wood to plastic, including your own fingers. According to the Super Glue Corporation, the only thing that can remove Super Glue is acetone. If you accidentally get some on your wood table, removing the dried glue is possible but it could damage the finish. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Q-tip or cotton ball
  • Nail polish remover with acetone
  • Wet cloth
  • Soft-bristle toothbrush

Instructions

      Soak the Q-tip or cotton ball in the acetone.

      Apply the acetone-soaked Q-tip or cotton ball directly to the dried glue. Depending on how much glue you have to remove, you may need to repeat this step.

      Scrub away the softened glue with a soft-bristle toothbrush until the glue is gone. If the glue dries again before you brush it all off, reapply the acetone and continue to scrub away the glue.

      Wipe the table with a wet cloth to clean away any leftover acetone or pieces of glue.

  • Check the nail polish remover to make sure it has acetone in it. Many are available without it.
