Keyless Entry Remote

Like a variety of late-model cars, 2006 Nissans are equipped with keyless remote entry systems. Whether you purchased the system from the dealership or had it installed as an aftermarket option, you can easily program and reprogram your remotes for the system in just minutes. Programming requires only the remote itself and the ignition key, and will have you ready to use the system immediately.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter your 2006 Nissan with the keyless remote and ignition key in hand. Close all of the doors behind you and lock them using the tab on the driver's side door.

    • 2

Insert and remove the key from the ignition six times within 10 seconds. Wait for the car to respond by flashing the hazard lights.

    • 3

Insert the key into the ignition again and turn the key to the "ACC" position.

    • 4

Press any button on your keyless remote and wait for the car to respond by flashing the hazard lights again.

    • 5

Lock and unlock the doors on the driver's side to program another remote, and press any button on the additional remotes to program them. Wait for the hazard lights to flash after each remote has been programmed.

    • 6

Turn the key to the "Off" position and remove it from the ignition to end the programming sequence.
