Add glitter to ink- and paint-stamped pictures for added decoration. The ink or paint acts like a glue, holding the glitter to the stamped image, while glitter comes in various colors, enabling you to flex your creative muscle. Use this method to decorate stationery, wrapping paper, pictures, cards, table cards and more.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay the sheet of paper on a flat surface. The ink or paint may bleed through the paper, so place a sheet of newspaper underneath to prevent damage.

    • 2

Hold the rubber stamp by the top part. Press it straight down onto the ink pad. If you use paint, pour paint onto a dish and dip the rubber portion of the stamp into the paint.

    • 3

Press the stamp straight down onto the piece of paper. Apply pressure. Do not move the stamp, as it will cause the ink or paint to smudge. Lift the stamp straight up. Set aside.

    • 4

Shake glitter onto the ink or paint. Use a glitter shaker or your hand to spread the glitter.

    • 5

Leave the stamped image to dry. Once it's dry, hold the paper over a trash can and shake off any loose glitter.

Tips & Warnings

  • Paint is thicker than ink, making it capable of holding more glitter. Acrylic, poster and tempura paints work best for this project.
