Sending an MMS to a cellphone via email is free.

Multimedia Messaging Service, commonly referred to as MMS, is an enhanced version of SMS messaging service, which supports the transmission of photos, graphics, audio clips, or video clips. To send an image from an email to a cellphone, you must know the MMS gateway address of your recipient's cellphone provider. An MMS gateway is a unique email address that allows the transmission of an MMS file via email to a cellphone.

Instructions

    • 1

Open an email client program that is configured with your email account, such as Microsoft Outlook, or log in to your account on your email provider's homepage.

    • 2

Click on "Compose" then type the MMS gateway address of your recipient's carrier in the "To" field.

Assume the recipient's cell number is 123-456-7899 (including the area code). Type 1234567899@vzwpix.com (for Verizon Wireless), or 1234567899@mms.att.net (AT&T), or 1234567899@tmomail.net (T-Mobile), or 1234567899@mms.mycricket.com (Cricket Wireless).
