How to Update Microsoft Mobile 5 IE

Microsoft Mobile 5 for IE, otherwise known as Windows Mobile 5, is a program that you can download to your cell phone so you can access your Windows and Microsoft email and chat programs. Windows Mobile lets you access MSN chat, MSN email and Hotmail. You can also access your Microsoft Outlook email through Microsoft Mobile 5.0. In February of 2007, Windows Mobile 6.0 was announced. It is easy to upgrade your Windows Mobile 5 IE to Windows Mobile 6.0.

Instructions

1. Go to the Windows Mobile download site listed in References.

2. Select the 32-bit or 64-bit version, depending on the size of your phone. Click on "Download Windows Mobile 6.0."

3. Input your cell phone number and turn on your cell phone.

4. Wait for the program to appear in your cell phone's message window and click on it. It will install automatically. It will install itself over Windows 5.0, so there is no need to uninstall.
