How to Use Vellum Paper Quotes
Vellum is a translucent paper that can be purchased from craft or paper stores. It comes in a variety of packages, including stacks of vellum vellum imprinted with quotations. The quotations can be centered around a theme (such as marriage, family or children) or simply random. Vellum quotations add a special touch to scrapbook layouts, greeting cards and other paper crafts.

1
Purchase a vellum quote book from a craft or paper supply store. Choose a themed book of quotes, such as marriage or family, if you will be working on projects related to the theme.
-
2
Select the quote you would like to use from the book of quotes. Carefully remove it by tearing it from the book or using scissors.

3
Cut the vellum quote to the size you need for your project. For some projects, a large amount of vellum showing beyond the quote looks best. For smaller projects a small border of vellum around the printed quote looks more appropriate.
-
4
Attach the vellum quote to you project. Apply vellum adhesive following the manufacturer's directions. Regular glue will show through the transparent paper; clear vellum adhesive will not. Specialty vellum adhesive can also be purchased at craft stores.

5
If vellum adhesive is unavailable, poke holes on either side of the vellum quote, avoiding the printed text. Attach the vellum using ribbon or eyelets. Make another set of holes in the paper and slide the ribbon through the paper and vellum. Using ribbon or eyelets adds texture to your project.

Tips & Warnings
Tearing the vellum edges instead of cutting creates a softer, rustic look.
