However, if you have an iron and a few spare minutes, you can easily remove candle wax drippings from any rock and stone surfaces. Things You'll Need

  • Plastic putty knife
  • Iron
  • Brown paper sack
  • Toothpick

Instructions

      Scrape the wax off the stone with a plastic putty knife. Use a toothpick to get into tight corners. Remove as much wax as possible.

      Place a brown paper sack over the stone. Use an iron on the lowest setting and run it over the brown sack numerous times.

      Move the iron around constantly so you don't burn the paper or damage the iron. Use a fresh section of the brown paper sack once it becomes covered in wax. After you've removed as much wax as possible with the iron, use the plastic putty knife to go back over the surface and remove any remaining spots of wax.

  • Avoid wiping the melted wax because it will smear and make a mess.
