Instructions to Make a No Sew Tie Blanket
Homemade gifts can be some of the most thoughtful and treasured presents that people receive. Blankets make great baby gifts and birthday presents (no matter the age). The no-sew tie blanket not only makes a nice present, but it is also very easy and inexpensive to make. For less than $15 and less than one hour, you can create a homemade present that is sure to please anyone.
Things You'll Need
- 2 pieces of fleece, 2 yards long, 40 inches wide
- 4-by-4-inch piece of paper
- Scissors
- Yardstick

Place the two pieces of fleece on top of one another. Ensure that they are lined up perfectly. Remember that if you purchase fleece with a pattern, the patterned part needs to be facing outwards.

Lay the 4-inch paper directly onto one corner of the fleece. Cut the corner of the two pieces of fleece out, using the paper as a guide. Repeat this with the three other corners.

Place a yardstick along one end of the fleece--4 inches from the edge. Cut a fringe into both pieces of fleece--spacing the fringe 1 inch apart and 4 inches long. Repeat this with the three other sides of the fleece.

Tie the first piece of fringe from the top fleece to the first piece of fringe from the bottom fleece on one side. Continue tying the fringe along one side together. When you're finished, you will have tied the entire side together in knots. Repeat this with the remaining sides of the blanket.
