How to Make Hair Bow Crafts for Girls
Purchasing hair bow barrettes from a boutique or beauty supply store can be surprisingly expensive. Instead of spending your money on one or two hair bows, you can purchase the materials you'll need to make several of your own. When you make the hair bows yourself you'll be able to choose the exact color and design of the ribbon, thus allowing you to match the bows with outfits. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
-
-
1
Add a thin strip of fabric glue to the top of the barrette.
-
2
Apply the middle of the ribbon to the length of the barrette. Hold the ribbon down to adhere. Allow several hours for the glue to dry before finishing the project.
-
-
3
Pull both sides of the ribbon up, tying them into a simple knot. Separate the ribbon ends so they are vertical--the right end facing down, the left end facing up.
-
4
Fold the right end of the ribbon in half to form a loop. Wrap the left end of the ribbon around the loop (from right to left).
-
5
Pull the left end through the back of the bow. The bow is formed.
-
