Blender 3D Modeling Tutorial
Blender 3D is a software used for modeling, animation and rendering. Creating a 3D model is a difficult task, especially for beginners, but after some practice the process of modeling will begin to run faster and smoother. You can create a great variety of different models with Blender, such as human models, vases, outdoor scenes and even 3D shapes. For Blender newbies, it's best to begin modeling with the software's default scene, which consists of a cube, light source and camera.

Open Blender 3D and open the default scene by clicking "Ctrl-X." Notice that the cube is outlined in pink. This indicates that the cube is selected. This is considered "Object Mode." You will be modeling the cube to transform it into a 3D piece of art.

Click "TAB" to go into "Edit Mode." This will allow you to adjust the shape and size of the cube. Click and drag the bottom right-hand corner of the cube to adjust the size to your liking.

Select the vertices by clicking RMB over top of the cube. Vertices are control points that are connected to create edges and faces. In this case, you will use these vertices to create the edges of the cube. After clicking RMB, notice that the vertices are yellow, which means they are selected.

Create edges by Ctrl-clicking around the edge of the cube to create a series of vertices. Essentially, you are tracing around the shape of the cube. When you come to the corner of the cube, press the "F" key to create an edge. Continue to Ctrl-click around the entire cube.

Press "Shift and MMB" to pan or rotate the view of the cube to see your 3D transformation. By creating vertices you have created a simple 3D model of a cube.
