How to Glue Rubber-Backed Carpets in Cars

How to Glue Rubber-Backed Carpets in Cars thumbnail
Car carpets are typically rubber-backed to provide traction.

Car carpets come in several colors, textures and varieties. The backs of the carpets in cars are typically coated with rubber because the material provides no-slip traction. This way, when you get in the car, you do not slip and slide, and neither does the carpet. Additionally, the carpet will not get bunched up through frequent use. Underneath the carpet, a fabric used for safe bonding to the rubber part of the carpet is provided. You should make sure that you're using the right kind of glue for optimum coverage and use.
