How to Clean a Stained Yellow Bathtub Made of Marble

Things You'll Need
- Distilled water
- Soft cloth
- Liquid dish detergent
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Baking soda
- Soft cloths and sponges

Clean your marble bathtub daily with plain distilled water and a soft cloth. Wipe up any spills or stains immediately after they happen. Buff the marble with a soft cloth to polish.

Mix 1 tbsp. of liquid dish detergent with an equal amount of water. Apply this mixture with a soft cloth to the marble surface. Buff the area with the cloth until the stain disappears. Rinse with clean water.

Mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and distilled water. Apply to the stained area of the marble using a soft sponge. Allow to sit on the stain, if possible, for about 5 minutes. Rinse with clean water. Repeat, if necessary, to completely eliminate the stain.

Make a paste with 1 tbsp. of baking soda and 1/2 tbsp. of water. Apply the paste to the stained area of the marble. Leave on for 15 minutes and allow to dry. Remove with a dampened sponge or cloth and buff dry.

Tips & Warnings
Polish marble bathtubs with a chamois cloth to impart shine.
Avoid using harsh cleansers on marble. Vinegar and other acidic based cleaners can cause pitting and damage the surface of the marble. Also avoid using abrasive cleansers since these, too, can damage the surface.
