How to Unpack Rar File Format
The RAR format is a compressed archive format developed by Eugine Rorschal. It is used to store and compress files in an easy to access archive, while at the same time saving disk space. The format is non-proprietary, but it is mainly associated with the for-pay WinRAR program. If you are looking to unpack a RAR file, you'll be glad to know there is a free, open-source, cross-platform archival program called 7-Zip that can be used to create and unpack any type of RAR file.
