How to Use Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007
Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 is a popular presentation software program that is commonly used in education and business as a teaching tool and visual aid. Composing presentations requires PowerPoint 2007, but if you do not have the program you can still view PowerPoint presentations using a freeware tool called Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007. Microsoft provides free downloads of PowerPoint Viewer 2007. Even if you have PowerPoint 2007 installed, you can use the viewer as a way to quickly open and display presentations.

Download and install Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007 (see Resources section).

Run Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007 by clicking "Start," "All Programs" and "Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007." A computer explorer prompt will open.

Open the PowerPoint file you want to view.

Click on the screen to move from one slide to the next and click on the black screen that says "End of slide show, click to exit" to exit the program.

Tips & Warnings
The PowerPoint Viewer 2007 will allow you to view presentations created using all versions of PowerPoint since PowerPoint 1997.
If you want the full capability to edit and create PowerPoint presentations, you will have to purchase and install PowerPoint 2007.
Right-click on the screen when a presentation is open to bring up a drop-down list of options.
