How to Open the Safe in "FF7"

"Final Fantasy 7" is a classic role-playing game released in 1997 for the original Sony PlayStation. The game has several Easter eggs and hidden characters. One of the characters is Vincent, who is located in the basement in the Shinra Mansion. The basement door is locked. To open the basement door and unlock Vincent, you'll need to open the safe upstairs to obtain the key.

  • Turn the dial to the right until you reach 36. Press "Circle" to confirm the entry.

  • Turn the dial to the left until you reach 10. Press "Circle" to confirm.

  • Turn the dial to the right until you reach 59. Press "Circle" to confirm.

  • Turn the dial to the right until you reach 97. Press "Circle" to confirm. The safe will open and a monster will appear. Defeat it to receive the basement-door key.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not go past the specific number for each entry. For example, if the entry is 57, stop on 57. Do not go further without pressing "Circle."
  • Enter the combination quickly. The procedure must be completed within 20 seconds.
