Instructions for Making a Rubber Band Ball
Making a rubber band ball can provide inexpensive amusement, stress relief or a craft for the family to enjoy together. While any type of rubber band can be used to create the ball, using rubber bands of different sizes and colors will provide more variation and make the process easier. A rubber band ball can be an ongoing project for anyone who needs relaxation or a temporary distraction.
Instructions

1
Squeeze 5 to 10 thick rubber bands in your hand until they become a compact wad. This will form the base of your rubber band ball.
-
2
Wrap the smallest rubber bands around the base of the ball. While you can use any size rubber band for this, using the smaller bands will make the process faster and help keep the center of the ball more compact.
-
-
3
Shape the rubber band ball by wrapping rubber band layers in different directions around the ball's base.
-
4
Use larger rubber bands as your ball grows in size.
-
5
Continue to shape the ball by applying the rubber band layers in places that will help round out the ball.
-
6
Apply colored rubber bands for your final layers if you want to give your rubber band ball an artistic touch.

Tips & Warnings
If you have difficulties starting your rubber band ball, you can also use a marble or a wadded piece of paper at the center.
Keep the rubber bands wound tightly to create a ball that will bounce higher.
