Molefoam padding, also known as moleskin, provides extra padding that helps protect any area of the foot that is experiencing friction or pressure. This kind of soft cotton padding can be conveniently cut into any size that fits your needs and can help alleviate the pain associated with corns and calluses. The padding also can help to prevent blisters from forming. Molefoam can even be applied to the inside of shoes for protection as well. You can remove molefoam with a few simple-to-follow steps.   • Molefoam padding
  • Cotton balls (optional)
  • Rubbing alcohol (optional)
  • Washcloth (optional)

Instructions

  1. Removing Molefoam from Skin

    • 1

      Hold the skin near the molefoam taut with your thumb and finger. With your other hand, use your fingernail to peel up the edge of the padding. Grab the edge of the foam and pull slowly away from the skin until the padding is entirely removed.

      Soak a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and rub on the skin to remove any sticky residue that may be left.

      Soak your foot and moleskin in warm water for at least five minutes if the moleskin does not come off the skin readily or is painful when you try to peel it off. The padding should peel off easily after soaking it in the water.

    Removing Moleskin from Shoes

      Use your fingernail to peel the edge of the padding up from the inside surface of your shoe.

      Pull the padding away from the shoe with your fingers.

      Remove any sticky residue by scrubbing the inside surface of the shoe with a washcloth that has been soaked in hot water and been wrung out, or by using use a rubbing alcohol-soaked cotton ball.
