How to Make Felt Paper Dolls

Paper dolls are an inexpensive activity that can keep young children entertained for literally hours. Many pleasant afternoons have been spent making and playing with paper dolls with friends or siblings. The drawback is that they're fairly fragile and wear out quickly. That's why many people are turning to making felt paper dolls. Not only are they sturdier, but you don't need tabs to fold over the body because the felt sticks to itself.

Things You'll Need

• Paper
• Pen
• Scissors
• Felt (varying colors)

Instructions

1. Draw the paper-doll bodies and clothes on the paper. These will be your templates. If you're not good at drawing, you can use premade paper doll patterns.

2. Cut out the patterns you drew.

3. Hold the paper-doll template on a sheet of felt and cut around it. You could also pin it to keep it from moving. Continue until you have all the doll and clothing templates cut.
