How to Delete Pop-up Ads
Regardless of the kind of web browser you use, the easiest way to delete a pop-up ad after it appears on your screen is to click the "X" at the top corner of the pop-up or to click on the red circle at the top of the pop-up ad if you are using Safari on a Mac. You can choose to delete pop-up ads before they ever appear on your screen by setting up the pop-up blocker on your computer. The way you turn on a pop-up blocker differs, depending on which web browser you use.

Click the "Safari" icon in the dock or desktop of your computer. The browser window will appear.

Click "Safari" at the top left of the screen. A list will open.

Click "Block Pop-Up Windows" from the list. This will delete pop-up ads from Safari.
Internet Explorer

Click the "Start" menu on your desktop. Then click the "Internet Explorer" icon. Internet Explorer will open.

Click "Tools" at the top of the screen. Choose "Pop-up Blocker" from the list that appears.

Click the "Turn On Pop-up Blocker" option. Internet Explorer will now delete any subsequent pop-up ads that try to appear.
Firefox

Click the "Firefox" icon on your computer. A browser window will open.

Select "Tools" at the top of the screen. A list will open. Choose "Options."

Select the "Content" tab.

Select the box next to "Block pop-up windows" and click "OK." Firefox will now delete pop-up ads that try to appear on your screen.
