TiVo receivers let subscribers record and watch TV programming whenever it's convenient for them. The TiVo receiver is equipped with connection jacks for hooking up other home entertainment components, such as a VCR & DVD player, to expand viewing options. With a combo unit connected to the TiVo, a user can also record programs to videotape or watch discs on the DVD player. The setup requires two sets of standard AV cables with color-coded plugs to match the jacks.
