- Toilet paper tubes
- Scissors

Remove any toilet paper pieces and glue residue from each tube. If they are still a little sticky when you are done, that's OK---just make them as smooth as possible. Cut each tube into rings about 2 inches wide.

Spread the rings out on a flat surface and spray-paint them any color you like. For Christmas consider red, green, silver or an iridescent white. Pastel colors work well for springtime teas. If you need a second coat, allow the first coat to dry fully before adding more paint.

Glue your decorations to the outside of each ring. Pretty rhinestones work well for fancy celebrations, while buttons might be nice for a more casual birthday party.
