How to Make a Banner for MySpace 2.0
Creating a banner for MySpace 2.0 is fast and easy--no graphic design skills are necessary. There are many free banner-generating websites that make it easy to create and customize your own banner to display anywhere on your profile. You can choose from different sizes, fonts, colors and effects, and even add your own images to your MySpace 2.0 banners.

Click on the My Banner Maker link in the References section. Click on the banner size that you want to use for your profile.

Click on the "Background" tab and choose a top and bottom color to create a gradient for your banner. You also can upload your own background image by clicking "Choose File" and selecting the image from your computer.

Click the "Text" tab. You can enter up to four lines of text, as well as use different fonts, colors and font sizes. Adjust the horizontal and vertical positioning of the text by dragging the green box left or right.

Click the "Border" tab to change the color and thickness of the border by dragging the green box.

Click the "Effects" tab. Choose different effects from the drop-down menu. You also can choose a color and increase or decrease the overlay.

Click the "Save" tab. Choose one of the banner code options, then click the "Save the Banner" button at the bottom. You will have the option to sign up and become a VIP member or continue on for free. Copy the code and paste it anywhere in your MySpace profile.
Banner Fans

Go to the Banner Fans website (a link is in the References section). Click the "Layout" tab and select a preset banner size, or select the "Custom" radial button to adjust the banner to your height and width specifications.

Below the preset options, select the colors and gradient you want for the background of your banner. If you want to use your own background image, select "I Want to Upload My Own Image." A "Choose File" feature will appear below. Browse your computer for the image you want, and select the radial button that describes how you want your image to appear on the banner.

Click the "Text and Fonts" tab. You may enter up to six lines of text with their own font, font size, color and degree of rotation. To move the text to a desired position on the banner, move your mouse to the preview above. Click and hold down your mouse button and drag the text.

Click the "Shadow & Effects" tab. Click on the line of text that you want to add a shadow to, select its position behind the text, and choose the color and opacity.

Click the "Border" tab. Select from four preset border types to go around your banner. Adjust the color, size, distance and opacity by clicking on the respective buttons.

Click the "Format" tab. Select either .png, .jpg, or .gif and click the "Download Banner" button at the bottom to save your banner to your computer. To get the MySpace banner code, click on "Get the Codes" at the bottom. Copy the code for a MySpace masthead banner to place your banner above the navigation buttons on your profile. Copy the code for a MySpace header banner to place the code just about anywhere else in your profile.
