How to Become a Vampire in "Sims 2 Pets" for PC

With the Sims 2 Pets expansion pack, your Sims can turn into aliens, zombies, werewolves and vampires as long as the correct expansions are installed on your computer. You can't create vampire characters with the Sims 2 Body Shop tool, nor can you create vampires at the "Create-a-Family" screen. Instead, your Sim must change into a vampire within the game itself.

Instructions

  1. Find the Vampire Non-Playable Character (NPC)

    • 1

Create a Sim using Body Shop or the "Create-a-Family" screen. Alternately, you can choose a Sim that's already in your game. If using Body Shop, make sure your version is patched, since the Sims 2 Pets expansion introduced a glitch in Body Shop that made its content incompatible with other versions of the game.

    • 2

Move your Sim onto a lot with a phone.

    • 3

Click on the phone with the left mouse button. Choose "Call" from the first pop-up menu. Choose "Call Taxi" from the next menu.

    • 4

Click "Downtown" in the menu that pops up when the taxi arrives. "Downtown" is in the list on the left under "Neighborhoods." When you click "Downtown," a list of community lots will appear in the list on the right side of the menu. Select one of the downtown locations, such as the Crypt O'Night Club.

    • 5

Visit various downtown community locations with your Sim or stay on one lot until you see the Countess or the Count. These are the two vampire characters. You can recognize them by their bluish skin, red eyes and fangs.

    • 6

Interact with the vampire until the relationship score between your Sim and the vampire is high enough to make them friends. Ask the vampire to move in with your Sim.

    • 7

Click on the vampire's icon when he is added to your Sim's household. He'll be added and controllable as soon as he agrees to move in.

    • 8

Left click on your original Sim while controlling the vampire. Choose "Bite Neck" and the vampire will bite and turn your Sim into a vampire.

Tips & Warnings

  • When sending your Sim downtown to look for vampire NPCs, make sure that it's night. Vampires won't come out during the day.

  • For more control over how your vampire Sim looks, create her in Body Shop instead of "Create-A-Family." The sliders in Body Shop, which is installed along with the Sims 2 game, provide greater flexibility and more options for modifying facial features.

  • Make sure your Sim's house has no or few windows and contains a coffin for her to sleep in.

  • Keep your vampire Sim out of the sun; otherwise, she'll turn to ash!

  • The Sims 2 Nightlife expansion must be installed on your computer to create vampire characters.
