How to Install a Wireless Modem BSNL DataOne in Windows XP on a Laptop

A BSNL DataOne wireless modem is a wireless card that will enable your computer to connect to large-scale wireless networks, making it the perfect companion for your Windows XP laptop. Installing the card is a two part procedure, whereby you must first physically install the card, followed by installing the software to make the card functional. This can be done in around 10 minutes.

• Driver CD (that came with your card)

Instructions

1. Insert the BSNL card into an available SD slot on the side of your computer.

2. Insert the driver CD into the laptop.

3. Click "Start," select "Control Panel," and click on the "Device Manager."

4. Click on the "?" entry for new hardware, which represents the unidentified network card.

5. Select the "Driver" tab and click on "Install."

6. Select the drive letter of your CD drive as the location to search, installing the driver and activating the wireless card.
