How to Evolve Scyther in Diamond
"Pokemon Diamond" is a role-playing game for the Nintendo DS portable video game console and features a new storyline in the popular "Pokemon" series. You play as a new pokemon trainer who must find and train the pokemon creatures to succeed in various battles. In the game, you can catch wild pokemons or trade with other characters in the game. The pokemons then become stored in your Pokedex, where you can view the stats and moves of each pokemon.

Go to Iron Island and enter the only house there. Talk to the Byron character by pressing the "A" button on your Nintendo DS.

Continue talking to Byron until he gives you the metal coat. If he doesn't give it to you, you must obtain the lunar wing and cure the boy in Canalave City in order to get the coat.

Go down Route 229 and look for a character that is willing to trade pokemons on the side of the route. The character will ask if you have any specific pokemons to trade and you must have one of them.

Trade a pokemon to receive Scyther and automatically Scyther will evolve into Scizor when you have the metal coat. A cut-scene will show Scyther evolving and you then can rename Scizor anything you wish.

Send Scizor to your Pokedex so that you can use him in the game right away. Find a battle with a trainer and select to send Scizor out to battle.
