How to Organize Camping Tents
Organization while camping in a tent is important. To keep your belongings in order, there should be a specific place for everything. Although tents vary in size, it is safe to assume that all are generally small spaces. With sleeping bags, suitcases, food and personal items all together in one area, things can get messy quickly. Keeping things organized will lessen your aggravation when searching for specifics and will give you more time outside enjoying your camping trip.

1
Create a checklist of camping supplies. Check off items that need to be inside the tent after setup.
-
2
Place luggage against a tent wall. Stack it on top of each other if you can. Put luggage back into the same spot daily.

3
Place toiletries, a flashlight, extra batteries and other everyday items in a milk crate. Place the crate beside the area where you'll be sleeping for ease of access to these items during the night. Bring along two or more crates if you are traveling with more than four people.
-
4
Roll up sleeping bags after use. Place them against any wall in the tent to create more living space. Lay pillows on top of sleeping bags.
-
5
Keep all shoes and outdoor gear outside the tent. Use a broom to sweep out mud and leaves if shoes are accidentally worn inside the tent.
