How to Burn CDs From Kazaa
Kazaa was once the reigning king of peer-to-peer file sharing after the original Napster was shut down. The service was used to connect thousands of computers together for easy transfer of media, mostly music in the MP3 format. Kazaa was eventually shut down to the overwhelming amount of copyrighted material being freely traded, though the network lives on via Kazaa Lite and Kazaa Lite Resurrection. Not all content shared through the network was done so illegally, however. Peer-to-peer networks were also a resource for Creative Commons, a nonprofit that provides free licenses to content creators to allow for the sharing of content (among other things) while adhering to copyright rules. Kazaa was sold off to Brilliant Digital Entertainment and currently serves as a subscription music service.
