How to Install Windows Mail on XP
When Windows Vista was released, the Outlook Express program--a staple of Windows XP--was replaced by Windows Live Mail. This program was also available as a download for Windows XP, and if you have a Windows XP computer, you can download and install it on your machine.

Navigate to the Windows Live download page (see References) and click on the "Download" button on the right section of the screen.

Click the "Run" button to download and run the Live Mail installation program on your Windows XP computer.

Select the programs from the Windows Live collection that you wish to install (select only Live Mail if you only need the mail application) and then click the "Next" button.

Wait for the installation program to finish and then click the "Finish" button. You can now open the Mail program from the Start menu.
