How to Decorate a Girl's Bedroom in Pink

Most little girls love the color pink.

Pink is a classic choice for a girl's bedroom. This light and peaceful color makes the dweller cheerful and brings a sense of femininity and innocence to the space. Whether the room is for a 1st grader or a high school freshman, pink on the walls, windows and bed in various light hues can transform a plain space into a girl's fantasy.

Instructions

1. 

   Roll paint on with a thick roller for fast coverage.

   Start with the walls. Select a light shade of pink for all four walls or one accent wall. Deep pinks tend to be too dark, while light pinks offer a blush without distraction.

2. 

   Polka dots make a wall look more festive.

   Apply some peel and stick graphics. Choose pink and brown polka dots or large pink Gerber daisy flowers to place around the wall upon which the bed will rest.

   Light pink sheers filter bright sunlight.

   Hang pink sheers over the windows to provide privacy and a splash of color. The sheers should be slightly darker than the walls to define the area. You can also find sheers and full-coverage curtains with pink polka dots or other pink embellishments.

   Use solid pinks or patterns on the bed.

   Dress the beds in various shades of pink. Use dark pink sheets and a lighter pink or patterned comforter for the top. Pile up various shades and styles of pink pillows at the top of the bed to give it a rich look.
