Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Gather around a warm campfire with friends or family.
-
Step 2
Break a graham cracker into two halves. Place one quarter of a chocolate bar on one half of a graham cracker.
-
Step 3
Stick one large marshmallow on the end of a wire or clean stick. An unwound wire hanger works well.
-
Step 4
Hold your marshmallow several inches over the hot embers of the fire.
-
Step 5
Rotate the wire as the marshmallow cooks, allowing the marshmallow to become lightly browned all over.
-
Step 6
Place the browned marshmallow on top of the graham cracker and chocolate.
-
Step 7
Place the other half of the graham cracker on top of the marshmallow, creating a sandwich.
-
Step 8
While firmly holding the two graham crackers together, pull the wire out of the marshmallow.
-
Step 9
Wait about 30 seconds for the warm marshmallow to melt the chocolate.
-
Step 10
Eat the s'more after allowing it to cool. You'll want some more - so return to step two.

on 5/8/2009 My kids make s'mores in the microwave when we can't get outside because of the weather. It's a great treat after dinner to break up the crazyness of the week, espically on a rainy day.It works really well if you melt the chocolate on 1/2 the graham cracker for about 20-30 seconds, add the marshmellow and cook another 5-10 seconds, then pop the 2nd half of the cracker on top.Almost as good as the camp fire!Tip:Chunky peanut butter or a reeses peanut butter cup are also good!

on 8/31/2006 Today I had a big craving for s'mores. We are re-doing our house, so the house we are temporarily in doesn't have a gas stove. We didn't have any chocolate bars, so instead I used 8 chocolate chips. I put them on the graham cracker, then I put the marshmallow on top of them and kept it open. Then I put it all in the microwave for 15 seconds, then I put the second graham on and heated another 6 seconds.... yummy!

on 11/22/2005 To have s'mores the next night camping, pack the crackers in zipper-lock bags so you can keep crackers crisp!

on 11/22/2005 The day after Halloween, my friend and I wanted s'mores and I didn't have any chocolate bars or graham crackers. We used wheat thins and miniature snickers bars that my sister got the previous night .. hey, they tasted pretty good!

on 11/22/2005 Another way to cook s'mores in the house is by placing a marshmallow in the microwave and then putting it on the graham cracker and the chocolate.
