How to Find Replacement Tire Size
Proper tire maintenance is essential for the proper function of any automobile. Worn tires can be dangerous to drive on because the car won't have proper traction and is more likely to slide on the road. The car's fuel economy also declines when the tires are not in good shape and properly inflated. Although properly inflating the tires and rotating them regularly can help them last longer, eventually they will need to be replaced. Locating replacement tire sizes is an easy process and is vital to keeping your car running efficiently.

1
Open the door on the driver's side of your car. Locate the sticker on the inside of the door. It's on the side opposite the hinges.
-
2
Read the sticker to find the measurements of the tires recommended for your vehicle.

3
Look at the sidewall of your tires. On the outer rim, you'll find the measurements for the tire, including the width, diameter and aspect ratio (the ratio of the sidewall height to the tire width). If they differ from the ones on the door sticker, go with the ones on the sticker, as those are the car manufacturer's recommendations.

Call a tire shop. If you can't locate the door placard or find the measurements on your tires, a tire expert can look up the make and model of your car and tell you the replacement size you need.
