How to Rejuvenate Leather Welding Gloves
Rejuvenating the leather on your welding gloves will help keep them clean and supple. Cleaning your gloves on a regular basis will get rid of odors and stains that are job-related. This will make them last longer and your hands will be more comfortable while working. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Soft cloth
- Denatured or rubbing alcohol
- Mild dish washing liquid detergent, saddle soap or soap with a fungicide or germicide
- Clothespins (optional)

Mix together equal parts of denatured or rubbing alcohol and water.

Dampen a soft cloth with the mixture and thoroughly clean your gloves.

Check your gloves for further stains or mildew. If they are still stained or dirty, you need to mix a solution to wash the leather gloves.

Create a sudsy solution by mixing warm water with a mild, liquid dish washing detergent, saddle soap or a soap containing a germicide or fungicide.

Rinse the soap off the welding gloves by wetting a soft cloth and wringing it out. Rinse all areas of the glove.

Hang the gloves in a well-ventilated place to dry. Hanging them on a clothesline or using clothespins to attach them to a wire hanger will help them dry faster. Allow about 24 hours for them to dry thoroughly.

Get rid of perspiration odors inside the gloves by using a spray designed to remove odors from shoes.
