Instructions

    • 1

Lay a plastic headband down on a flat surface. Unravel the spool of ribbon; grosgrain ribbon works the best.

    • 2

Apply a small dot of hot glue to one end of the inside of the headband. Attach one end of the ribbon to the glue. Press down.

    • 3

Apply a strip of hot glue along the inside of the headband. Apply the glue in 3-inch lengths so the glue doesn't dry too quickly as you wrap the ribbon.

    • 4

Wrap the ribbon around the headband, overlapping it slightly. Press down on the ribbon on the inside of the headband to adhere it to the glue.

    • 5

Continue applying the glue and wrapping the ribbon until you reach the end of the headband. Cut off the excess ribbon.

    • 6

Apply a tiny dot of glue to one side of the outside of the headband. When wearing the headband, you will want the dot to be about 4 inches above the top of the ear.

    • 7

Place the middle of a length of ribbon underneath the headband. Pull the ribbon sides up and tie them into a knot directly on top of the dot of glue. Tie your ribbon into a simple bow and cut off excess. Allow a full 24 hours for the glue to dry completely.
