How to Change Windows XP Language From Spanish to English

You can change Windows XP to accept language inputs from other supported languages.

If you have installed Windows XP on your computer and are using the Spanish language version, you can change the operating system to accept language inputs from other supported languages, such as English. This will let you input commands and text in languages other than Spanish, making it easier to use the operating system in your native language.

• PC computer
• Windows XP operating system

Instructions

1. Click "Start." Select the "Control Panel" and then open the "Date, Time, Language and Regional Options" section.

2. Click the "Add other languages" button, click the "Languages" tab and then click the "Details" button.

3. Change the "Default input language" setting to English and then click the "OK" button.

4. Restart the computer and the settings change is applied to the computer.

Tips & Warnings

• You can add an input language by clicking the "Add" button on the same page you selected the "Default Input Language." This allows you to input information into your computer in a different default language.
