How to Reset the Check Engine Light on a T100

The check engine light on your T100 illuminates on the dash when there is a problem with the vehicle's emissions system. The on board diagnostic computer generates and stores fault codes. Perform a diagnostic scan of the computer in order to retrieve the codes. Go to an auto parts store, where these scans can be done for free. Then, fix the problem, and once the problem is discovered and fixed, you need to reset the check engine light.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the fuse panel by pulling down on the fuse cover in the driver's side foot well with your fingers.

    • 2

Locate the fuse for the electronic control unit, or ECU. Use the diagram on the underside of the fuse panel to locate the fuse.

    • 3

Pull the fuse for the ECU.

    • 4

Turn the ignition key to the "on" position but do not attempt to crank the engine.

    • 5

Wait five minutes and then replace the fuse. The check engine light will blink and then go out. This will reset the check engine light on your T100.
